Because ice boating is a little bit of sailing, a lot of building, and mostly talking.

We may not be going now. We are all packed and ready, but something has come up and we may need to stay near home. Have fun!

Re: West coast A boat championship

Wondering if any of you boys need crew for the regatta.  My wife gave me the pass and said GO!  I'd be coming from Portland and can be there Friday. Let me know as I left all my boats in Marinettte and haven't figured out how to have them containered and sent out.

Let me know.  John L.  Renegade 505, C-skeeter 282

Re: West coast A boat championship

Jay,
You're a lucky man...
(I'm pretty darn lucky too!)   Kim is also an excellent iceboater(ing) wife.  She has volunteered to stay at home with our 4 month old son and let me go to MT.    (She's also letting me take her suburban)   I told her there is room on the trailer for her boat.  Unfortunately Matt's not ready for an ice opti yet.

What day & time are you leaving?   My cell is 262-203-1997

Myself and Billy are leaving Pee-ville Thursday 5:00a.m. I believe we are hooking up with Burly.  Taking a short nap in North Dakota and finishing the trek friday.  Is the Stern steering group running straight thru?  And when are you guys blasting off?  Glad you can make it Kelly and Jack!!

Re: West coast A boat championship

I will be picking up Mike Peters in Madison on Thurs morning. (but probably not 5 am!)
We will see how it goes as to whether we go all night or stop.
Jay , we will probably be a few hours behind you & Burly so call if you have any issues.

...and to the Deuce/Michigander caravan, if you see any blue bits (truck/boat, whatever) on the side of the road; let me know.

Re: West coast A boat championship

Word from Taku is they just passed the Silo Bar and will start setting up in the next 15 min. They had no issues other than haveing to put on 4 new tires on the truck, seems c rated sidewall tires don't cut it.

The Duce group was entering Minn. at 1800hrs last night and was going all night, they should arrive around 1500hrs. The Michigan Juicer is on ther tail.

Re: West coast A boat championship

This suspicious email came to me marked as spam. I post it here in the spirit of The Blade Runner, whose motto is, Making It Up As We Go Along For Over Eight Years:

Unconfirmed reports from multiple sources have the Challenge Pennant of America pennant in transit to Canyon Ferry, Montana.  Several Pewaukee area iceboaters report Bill Dale loaded the coveted pennant into his Chevy Tahoe just before departing Pewaukee for the black ice of “Big Sky” country with Jay Yaeso.  It is also reported that Jay instructed the bar manager of the Green Bay Yacht Club to clear 50 feet of wall space for an unspecified award that Jay “guaran-damn-tees” he will return with next week.  Stay tuned for further updates.

Re: West coast A boat championship

Talked with Rick Last night, Seems the wind took the weekend off, But stories abound.

Something about Bondfires & a Cherry Juice concocktition, Keys and a Purse. It sounded like he was talking in code.

Might Jay be painting a mueral on the wall?
